Install the desktop preview
From your first install to a sprint you can see.
1. Add the plugin
Sign in to GitHub with an account that has access to the private repository. You’ll need Node.js 22 or newer, a Codex CLI with the plugin marketplace command, and a desktop host that can open persistent project chats. Run these commands in your terminal.
codex plugin marketplace add ItzelJuarez/alife-worlds
codex plugin add little-worlds@alife-worldsReload the desktop host, enable ALife Worlds in Plugins and invoke $little-worlds:little-worlds in a local chat. The install identifier stays little-worlds so existing worlds keep their bindings.
2. Give Director a goal
Start a new project for me. My goal is to make a field guide to five native flowers.
Follow setup into your new Director chat. The host must create the saved project and persistent chats for Director, Agent Support and World Creator, then verify their access to the project folder. If a host control is unavailable, setup reports the missing step.
3. Open your first sprint
Director, plan the first sprint. Give each task an owner and tell me how we’ll know it’s done.
Ask to open the world. Select a name to inspect its assignment and status. Ask World Creator to turn the habitat into a little city to see the same team in another setting.
Already have a team?
In the existing project’s local chat, invoke the plugin and say Connect my existing project and agents. It checks the existing owners and chat bindings before attaching the world.
Installing from a ZIP
Download the packaged release, extract it to a permanent folder and pass the absolute path of the folder containing .agents to codex plugin marketplace add. Then run the same codex plugin add command above.
